Is access to water a free and basic human right?

Is water a free and basic human right, or should all the water on the planet belong to major corporations and be treated as a product? Should the poor who cannot afford to pay these said corporations suffer from starvation due to their lack of financial wealth? According to the former CEO and now Chairman of the largest food product manufacturer in the world, corporations should own every drop of water on the planet — and you’re not getting any unless you pay up.

The company notorious for sending out hordes of ‘internet warriors’ to defend the company and its actions online in comments and message boards (perhaps we’ll find some below) even takes a firm stance behind Monsanto’s GMOs and their ‘proven safety’. In fact, the former Nestle CEO actually says that his idea of water privatization is very similar to Monsanto’s GMOs. In a video interview, Nestle Chairman Peter Brabeck-Letmathe states that there has never been ‘one illness’ ever caused from the consumption of GMOs.

Watch the video below for yourself:

The way in which this sociopath clearly has zero regard for the human race outside of his own wealth and the development of Nestle, who has been caught funding attacks against GMO labeling, can be witnessed when watching and listening to his talk on the issue. This is a company that actually goes into struggling rural areas and extracts the groundwater for their bottled water products, completely destroying the water supply of the area without any compensation. In fact, they actually make rural areas in the United States foot the bill.

As reported on by Corporate Watch, Nestle and former CEO Peter Brabeck-Letmathe have a long history of disregarding public health and abusing the environment to take part in the profit of an astounding $35 billion in annual profit from water bottle sales alone. The report states:

“NestlĂ© production of mineral water involves the abuse of vulnerable water resources. In the Serra da Mantiqueira region of Brazil, home to the “circuit of waters” park whose groundwater has a high mineral content and medicinal properties, over-pumping has resulted in depletion and long-term damage.”

Nestle has also come under fire over the assertion that they are actually conducting business with massive slavery rings. Another Corporate Watch entry details:

“In 2001, NestlĂ© faced criticism for buying cocoa from the Ivory Coast and Ghana, which may have been produced using child slaves.[58] According to an investigative report by the BBC, hundreds of thousands of children in Mali, Burkina Faso and Togo were being purchased from their destitute parents and shipped to the Ivory Coast, to be sold as slaves to cocoa farms.”

So is water a human right, or should it be owned by big corporations? Well, if water is not here for all of us, then perhaps air should be owned by major corporations as well. And as for crops, Monsanto is already working hard to make sure their monopoly on our staple crops and beyond is well situated. It should really come as no surprise that this Nestle Chairman fights to keep Monsanto’s GMOs alive and well in the food supply, as his ideology lines right up with that of Monsanto.

Team of contract killers led by ex-soldier 'Rambo' busted, prosecutors say

Yes, I know, it's old news, but the question I'd like to ask is how many of these guys are working for Obama? For the Clintons? For politicians all over the world? Oh yeh, Obama and Hillary don't really need them so much anymore. They have FEMA and DHS and federal employees, as well as -- for all intent and purpose -- a zombie nation of adoring followers.

This message is surprisingly brought to you by a crew of leftists. Among them is the always suspicious John Conyers, a man whom I would never trust. Not a word is uttered against Obama, who heads up and defends the NSA data-gathering out-of-control monster, but at least this message is a step in the right direction.

Dallas police seek grand jury review for officer who shot mentally ill man

Dallas police say they are seeking a grand jury indictment against an officer who shot a mentally ill man in a disputed incident caught on tape.

A police statement Thursday said Officer Cardan Spencer was fired over the Oct. 14 shooting and his case would be forwarded to a grand jury.

Police Chief David Brown initially said that Spencer was charged with aggravated assault. In a statement issued later Thursday, police said a judge who was presented with the arrest warrant directed police to take the case to a grand jury.

Spencer wrote in a police report that he shot Bobby Gerald Bennett after the man lunged at him with a knife. But video shows Bennett didn't appear to move toward the officers.

Dewhurst Calls for Impeachment

Texas Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst has called for Obama to be impeached over issues such as the administration's handling of the deadly attack last year on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and the national health care law.

Dewhurst's comments were made during a recent Tarrant County Tea Party forum and were first reported on by Twitter by a reporter for the Texas Observer. The account was later confirmedby the Texas Tribune.

Dewhurst spokesman Travis Considine told the Texas Tribune that Dewhurst, a former CIA officer, feels "very strongly about the tragedy in Benghazi and has said that Congress should consider impeaching the president over the tragedy." Four Americans were killed in the attack, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens.

Considine added Dewhurst "also believes that President Obama should be held accountable for Washington's failure to secure the border and the gross overreach of the federal government under Obamacare."

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, who defeated Dewhurst in the GOP primary last year on the way to winning his Senate seat, conceded this summer there aren't enough votes in the U.S. Senate to impeach Obama.

Still, the subject has been mentioned by some House Republicans such as Rep. Kerry Bentivolio of Michigan and even Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., who is an Obama friend. Some friend, eh?

Workers demolishing Sandy Hook Elementary School required to sign confidentiality agreements. Why?

Contractors demolishing Sandy Hook Elementary School are being required to sign confidentiality agreements forbidding public discussion of the site, photographs or disclosure of any information about the building where 26 people were (allegedly) fatally shot last December.

Selectman Will Rodgers said officials want to protect the Newtown school where the 20 children and six educators were killed, The News-Times reported.

"It's a very sensitive topic," he said Monday. "We want it to be handled in a respectful way." Project manager Consigli Construction has barricaded the property and intends to screen the perimeter to prevent onlookers from taking photographs. Full-time security guards will ensure the site is not disturbed.

Families of the victims and school staff visited the site, but public access is barred.

[You really think the goofy kid to the right killed 26 people? Did you ever see any photos of the inside of Sandy Hook Elementary? Yeh, me neither. Did you ever see any photos of blood-splattered floors and shots of the victims? Me neither. How about bodies being loaded into ambulances? No, not one. Gee, what was the deal with that?]

Anyway, the authorities are going to tear it down and it appears the community has been compensated. The security precautions at the school exceed those at other construction sites, town officials said.

Jim Juliano, a member of the Public Building and Site Commission, said he initially considered whether the heightened precautions might be excessive. But he believes extra vigilance is needed to shield Sandy Hook families and the community from exploitation.

Rodgers said the goal is to ensure the project is managed properly without interference from onlookers or the infliction of more pain on the community.

"Obviously, workers need access to the site, but inasmuch as we have put restrictions on our citizens, we don't really want those who are there somehow releasing information or recounting impressions of the site, given we are trying to move on, so to speak," Rodgers said.

Demolition is set to begin next week and be finished before the Dec. 14 anniversary of the shootings. A new school is expected to open by December 2016. Town voters last month accepted a state grant of $49.3 million to demolish the school and build a new one.

Can you say cover-up? No? How about conspiracy? No? Then, you can probably say 'gun control'.

Obama Demands $1.1 Trillion Ransom--or He Will Crash Global Economy

by Joel B. Pollack

President Barack Obama is demanding a $1.1 trillion "ransom"--or else he will not allow the debt ceiling to be raised. That's the effective offer on the table from the president and Senate Democrats. They have now refused to pass a "clean" short-term debt ceiling hike unless Republicans agree to reverse the "sequester" spending cuts in the 2011 Budget Control Act that were enacted--at Obama's suggestion--to end the last debt ceiling crisis.

The president, who has invited congressional leaders to conduct talks at the White House Monday afternoon, still continues to insist that he "will not pay a ransom for Congress reopening the government and raising the debt limit." Yet he and his party are the ones insisting on a "ransom," now that Republicans appear to be in the mood to compromise after opinion poll results last week showed them losing politically in the showdown.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) has claimed that the sequester dispute means that Democrats and Republicans are only $70 billion apart in budget negotiations. That is a blatant lie, as the total value of the sequester over ten years is $1.1 trillion. Democrats do not want a reprieve for one year--they want the entire sequester canceled so that they can continue spending on such priorities as the annual cowboy poetry festival in Nevada.

Last week, President Obama asked the press to "imagine if a Democratic Congress threatened to crash the global economy unless a Republican president agreed to gun background checks or immigration reform." Now the White House and a Democrat-controlled Senate are threatening exactly that--unless Republicans agree to fork over $1.1 trillion, paid for with new "revenues" (i.e. taxes) on the American people. Ransom, indeed.

Is This Where We're Headed?

Liberals in state of shock as they realize free health care was another Obama fairy tale

by PF Louis
NaturalNews

Finally, though too late, the chickens have come home to roost for many Obama supporters and apologists.

It isn't from the endless invasions and occupations, Wall Street bailouts, drones, increased gestapo security measures, NSA or several other corrupt episodes swept into the memory holes of mainstream media.

Nope. The wake-up call that has many on the other side of the aisle saying "I told you so" is Obama's "Affordable Care Act" insurance premium price hikes for those whose private plans are now more expensive than before.

Already, there have been several reports of tremendous premium hikes from Obama supporters upon enrolling for Obamacare, even though they haven't had major health issues or medical care. They are truly shocked.

A few sample horror stories

The San Francisco Bay Area is a liberal strong-hold. But the San Francisco Chronicle came out recently with the headline "Health Insurance Shoppers Suffer Sticker Shock."

One example they cited was SF Bay Area resident 47-year-old Shelley Ross, self employed, who was looking forward to getting a better deal through Obamacare. After registering, she lamented that "every plan is going to cost more than what I pay now, and what I pay now is ridiculous."

Another San Francisco resident, 63-year-old John Lonergan lost his reasonably priced Kaiser Permanente plan, because it can't comply to Obamacare mandates. In order to maintain the same level of coverage with Obamacare that he had with Kaiser, his annual premium cost will increase by over $3,600.

In nearby San Jose, California, the San Jose Mercury News reported, "Like many other Bay Area residents who pay for their own medical insurance, they were floored last week when they opened their bills."

This paper featured Cindy Vinson's and Tom Waschura's sticker shock. Both are Obama supporters. Vinson's annual premium bill went up $1,800, and Waschura's annual premium spiked incredibly to $10,000 over what he was accustomed to paying.

Cindy Vinson explained that she's in favor of everyone having coverage, but "[she] didn't expect to be the one paying for it personally." Waschura told the Mercury News, "I really don't like the Republican tactics, but at least now I can understand why they are so pissed about this."

The Christian Science Monitor reported a case where the cost increase of $8900 annually for North Carolina couple Michael Yount and his wife has them considering going without health insurance.

The Younts need to be alerted about those tax penalties for not complying with their unaffordable Affordable Care Act coverage, which can be enforced by the IRS with their tyrannical police powers.

Are there real options or is it catch-22 forever?

San Francisco health insurance agent, Jeff Sher, who ironically does conceptually favor a universal plan, pointed out that the Affordable Care Act may help those whose incomes are low enough to warrant subsidies, but most will suffer higher prices from this "horribly complex and ill-designed system."

To consider options, it's wise to drop the foolish left-right political schism meant to keep us arguing while politicians deceive us. Both sides of the aisle house the same monster that really only wants to feed itself by catering to the so-called one percent.

So why should people go bankrupt over medical bills? And why must only the most monopolistic, dangerous and least effective medical system take the spotlight with oncologists making up to a half-million per year poisoning patients, often making them die faster than cancer can kill them?

Until a single payer-system with minimal bureaucratic complexity and overhead allows individuals coverage for so-called "alternative" medical practices instead of catering to the Medical Mafia's excessive profit monopoly, it will be catch-22 forever.

CNN Continues Anti-Christian Stance

The anti-Christian News network CNN chose to cover Friday's Values Voters Summit with a chyron that blasted the three-day gathering of social and religious conservatives activists as "anti-gay." Unless there is something else going on I'm unaware of, CNN is smearing this organization as anti-gay based only on their opposition to same-sex marriage -- a position President Obama held until last year:

CNN's hostility towards Christianity has been well-documented over the years. Late last year, the left-wing network blamed Christianity for teen suicides and earlier this year CNN's Erin Burnett attacked the Catholic Church during a bizarre, concern-trolling editorial.

The Nightmare of Obamacare

The following is an actual account from someone who was able to log on to the Obamacare website:

I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 “Silver Plan” and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I “opt-out” and chose to continue along with no insurance. I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the “REPERCUSSIONS PORTION” for “non-payment” of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with “Non-Payment” and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy “Automatically withdraw” your “penalties” weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is “Free” or even “Affordable.” Anyone surprised?

Obama Appoints Janet Yellen Head of Federal Reserve Bank

Janet Yellen will be the next chair(person) of the Federal Reserve, succeeding Ben Bernanke.

President Obama will make the announcement on Wednesday at 3pm ET, the White House said late Tuesday. Both Janet Yellen and current Fed chair Ben Bernanke are expected to attend.

Yellen is currently the vice chairman of the Fed and has been widely reported as a front-runner to succeed Bernanke.

"She's an excellent choice and I believe she'll be confirmed by a wide margin," Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-NY, said after the announcement. Well, of course, what's old Chuckie going to say?

Yellen was appointed vice chair in Oct. 2010. She was president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from 2004 to 2010 and also served as chair of the Council of Economic Advisors from 1997 to 1999. Prior to joining the Fed, Yellen spent much of her career as a professor at the University of California at Berkeley, one of the most left-leaning universities in the world, where she had been teaching since 1980.

If you don't know much about the Federal Reserve and how it controls the US economy, you should.

Gov't Lying or Incompetent?

by Mike Flynn
Breitbart

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius appeared Monday night on "The Daily Show" and said she didn't know how many people had signed up for ObamaCare. "Fully enrolled?" Sebelius told host Jon Stewart. "I can't tell you. I don't know." Someone ought to remind the Secretary that it is 2013, not 1913.

It is inconceivable, in the Internet age, that the Obama Administration doesn't know how many people have enrolled in ObamaCare. The exchanges have been live for one week. Perhaps, because we're talking about the federal government, it doesn't have the real-time information that every other site on the Internet has, but it ought to have some rough numbers, at least. Websites today can easily track people on their sites in real-time. I could tell you how many people are on Breitbart News at this very second.

The issue is important, because the roll-out has been a mess. More importantly, if a sufficient number of people don't enroll, the entire infrastructure of ObamaCare crashes down. After a wide media dragnet, the one person identified as having successfully enrolled turned out to be an OFA volunteer. He also hadn't actually enrolled.

There really are only two explanations for this puzzle. First, they know exactly how many people have enrolled and are lying about it. The other possibility is that the Administration is so incompetent and the exchanges are so deficient that they really don't have access to the numbers. Yet again, incompetence is the best-case explanation for some problem in the Obama Administration.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney has promised "monthly reports" in the future on enrollment figures. This is laughable. If the government can't know on a real-time basis how many people are enrolling, how can it identify glitches, problems, or areas where they need to increase public education about the law.

How can the government even posit the idea that it should have more control over the health care system if it can't identify how many people actually have coverage?

Surely, even this Administration can't be this incompetent.

Edit: with their track record, I'd wager they're lying. Jambo

Uncle Sam the Sham

Everything happening within our government today pushes the country closer to globalism and further from sovereignty. We may not always see the bigger picture in the moment, but looking back reveals much. Seemingly simple changes in financial legislation, as with the progressive erasure of Glass-Steagall, render devastating fiscal shifts a decade later. Shocking events that appear random spur the passing of totalitarian legislation prepared years in advance. And always, the drumbeat for world unification. If it isn't obvious to you by now, allow me to inform you that nothing happens within government that does not revolve around the desire of establishment oligarchy in order to achieve total global economic, political and social control.

Central banks and international banks are the bedrock of globalization, and all greater political decisions eventually stand on this bedrock. Look at the cabinets of the past four U.S. Presidents; there you will find a banking elites who revolve in and out of government and back into the international financial sector. Private central banks like the Federal Reserve dominate the very currency (and thus the economy) of most nations on the planet. Interestingly enough, not Syria.

Most wars and man-made disasters have served only to further enrich and empower the merchant class. If you want to understand why a certain calamity has occurred, first look to who benefited most. Invariably, you will find the bankers smiling.

I've said this before but if you do not yet understand that the elite of the Republican Party and the Democratic Party share the same foundational philosophy of globalism, then you will never understand why our government does what it does. Public battles of words and legislation are nothing but staged rhetoric designed to fool you, the public, into believing all the debating and fighting is done for the benefit of mankind. Wise up. It's not for your benefit; rather, the goals of neocons and neolibs are all about the centralization of power. All legislation is used either to further centralization or as a smokescreen to confuse the public while centralization is taking place. When has the leadership of either party, for instance, ever demanded a full audit of the Federal Reserve? Let me give you a hint: never. When has the leadership of either party ever attempted to dismantle the Patriot Act or the despotic provisions of the National Defense Authorization Act or the President’s openly admitted assassination list? That's right. Never. They may seem to violently disagree at times, but do not be fooled. The disagreement is just another means to gain more dominance.

What you believe to be political blunders are more often actually calculated and engineered events. What you believe to be chaotic disasters of coincidence are often actually deliberate acts of attrition warfare against the common people disguised as random catastrophe. Those you believe to be heroes are actually villains in friendly masks. Those you are told are villains are actually good men and women refusing to be enslaved by the system. It's an upside-down distortion of reality presented to us by the ruling elite. That which you see and hear is never exactly as it appears.

Nearly every concrete action our government and central bank have taken in the past several decades has led to the further erosion of the American economy. If this is all just the consequence of stupidity or childish greed, you would think our leadership would have at least made a few good decisions by mistake; but they are incredibly adept at choosing all the wrong paths.

The reality -- a concept that escapes the television-watching, flag-waving, media-believing electorate -- is that collapses on the scale we are now witnessing in America rarely happen by accident.

The destruction of Glass-Steagall was a carefully crafted coup. The Federal Reserve deliberately and artificially lowered interest rates in order to allow banks to generate massive toxic debt through the derivatives markets. The Securities and Exchange Commission did little to nothing to stop the spread of cancerous mortgage instruments and ignored numerous calls for investigation. Ratings agencies like Moody’s and Fitch examined all of these toxic assets, knowing exactly what they were, and rated them AAA anyway. And banks like Goldman Sachs, knowing that the market was a sham, sold these bad assets around the world and then secretly bet against them later. Either this is economic warfare implemented with precision, or it’s all a string of coincidental blunders. I don’t believe in such coincidences and neither should you.

America is being destroyed by design to make way for a new global system administered by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, as well as a new global currency tied to the IMF’s Special Drawing Rights. This is not merely Chicken Little hand-wringing, although that's the response that's given when progressives are faced with the emerging reality of what's happening.

If you are able to accept the confusion surrounding events like the government shutdown and debt ceiling, then all the debates wither and everything becomes clear. It's all a sham and you, my friend, are being fleeced out of your money, your beliefs, and your freedom.

Government worried about citizen uprising

by Patrice Lewis
World Net Daily

I don’t own a smartphone. I’m computer illiterate enough as it is, so the thought of trying to figure out all the bells and whistles on the tiny screen of the latest whiz-bang technological marvel holds no appeal whatever.

Besides, there’s something disconcerting about the idea of a handheld device holding my entire life’s data. It’s too easy for something like that to get lost. Or stolen. Or scanned. Or confiscated.

In short, our private lives are exposed enough as it is to anyone who wants to do a little snooping. I don’t need to make it any easier by having a smartphone.

That said, there’s no shortage of shockingly invasive tactics our government is employing to keep track of its servants … er, citizens. In fact, it seems that more and more of what our government is doing is keeping track – close track – of what we’re all up to.

Our traveling is monitored through license plates and GPS systems. Our credit card purchases are monitored. Our phone calls are monitored. Our social media sites are monitored. Our search engines and online meanderings are monitored. In short, there is very little the government doesn’t know about everyone. Even the occasional hermit living unplugged in the deep woods is subject to visits from data collectors.

This week it was reported that “The director of the National Security Agency says the agency collects data from social networks and other private databases to hunt terror suspects but is not using the information to build dossiers, or personal files, on Americans.” Uh-huh.

Additionally: “Top U.S. intelligence officials are revealing more about their spying in an effort to defend the National Security Agency from charges that it has invaded the privacy of Americans on a mass scale. Yet the latest disclosure – the NSA tried to track Americans’ cell phone locations – has only added to the concerns of lawmakers” [emphasis added].

Why is this happening? What’s with the government’s fascination – no, obsession – with keeping tabs on anything and everything we do?

There is endless speculation, of course, but ultimately it is to prevent a citizen uprising.

Like slave owners, our overseers are petrified that we will revolt. History has shown, over and over again, that a people can take oppression for only so long before they rise up in explosive anger. That is, after all, what the Declaration of Independence was all about. The American Revolution was a revolution against its own government.

Whether our politicians are willing to admit it or not, there is a deep cauldron of suppressed anger, fury and hatred among the citizens of this nation at the abuses they’ve suffered at the hands of intrusive government goons. Everything from TSA pat-downs to kick-in-the-door, middle-of-the-night thugs, there’s a lot of simmering resentment just waiting for the right spark to set it off.

Now with Obamacare being shoved down our throats, that level of anger is rising. We are being unconstitutionally forced to purchase something the vast majority of America simply doesn’t want. Supporters of Obamacare refuse to acknowledge that the ACA isn’t about providing health insurance to the uninsured; it’s about taking control of a vast portion of the American economy, skewing the balance of power in the tripod of government and using our most sensitive medical data against us to bring us to our knees.

Obamacare is just one iron in the fire. There are endless other examples of how much more government controlled our lives are becoming. What angers so many people is the phony excuses the government makes while imposing the most shockingly unconstitutional garbage on us. The favorite lie is these things are done to keep us “safe,” even to the point of mining Facebook and Twitter to “prevent crimes.” Prevent crime? What are they, mind readers? I’m guessing the “crime” they’re most anxious to prevent is a citizen revolt.

To this end, the government has many long-term projects. It has taken over public education with the dumbed-down revisionist Common Core to ensure that future servants … er, citizens … are educated according to strict government standards of stupidity and witlessness. Obamacare will deem endless millions of Americans “unfit” to own firearms based on vague pseudo-medical excuses. Everything from smart meters to drones is gathering information on the government’s behalf, to be used against us.

To quote Simon Black of Sovereign Man Blog, “This is all playing out with nearly perfect historical precision. Time and time again throughout history as once great empires accelerated their declines, governments have taken steps to protect their interests against the people. In the past, they have imposed curfews, disarmed the population, curtailed civil liberties and declared national emergencies, usually against some great faceless enemy from abroad who threatens their way of life.

“As it turns out, though, our great faceless enemy is not some mythical boogeyman living in a cave, nor some angry brown person who hates us for our freedoms … but the very people within the system who’ve taken an oath to ‘support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic’” [emphasis added].

What it comes down to is the government is terrified of us. Well over 100 million Americans own firearms and they aren’t about to give them up, particularly to a government bent on imposing a tyranny that will exceed the abuses of George III. So the threat of a citizen uprising remains, even as the government continues to chisel away at the foundation of rights and freedoms upon which this nation was built.

Now whether our government is “egging” people toward division, strife and discord in order to declare martial law and take over, I have no idea. I’m not privy to the internal logic of our government officials. But you know what? It wouldn’t surprise me. In the spirit of never letting a crisis go to waste (even if the crisis is manufactured), the government would happily seize the opportunity to suspend our rights and confiscate our resources.

So how is all this chicanery working for the government? A recent poll revealed 80 percent of the U.S. population has been trained to believe “the government is in charge of the people.” Only 8 percent believe “the people are in charge of the government.”

More than half of Americans own smartphones, but evidently those gadgets aren’t making us any smarter. Maybe people should use those technological marvels to actually read something useful, such as how and why the first American Revolution began.

Start by Googling, “When in the course of human events …” and see where it leads you. Who knows, you might even learn something.

Police Remove Vietnam War Veterans at Memorial Wall

Police ordered tourists and Vietnam war veterans who were visiting the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall to leave the memorial at one point on Friday.

After one group of veterans went around the barricade, "the park ranger told them the wall was closed," NBC's Mark Seagraves reported. "Later another group of vets showed up and moved the barricades. At that point, the memorial filled with vets and tourists. That's when police came and moved everyone out."

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall is a black granite outdoor wall on which the names of the 58,272 service members who died or were unaccounted for during the Vietnam war are inscribed.

It takes more manpower and costs the government more money to close down an outdoor wall than to let people walk past it and pay their respects.

The Obama administration has been very selective in devoting resources to shutting down memorials.

Are You Getting Used To It Yet?

Bill  “Billy” Wayne Johnson
The president of the University of Texas-Pan American (UTPA) Young Democrats chapter is a convicted child sex offender.

Bill “Billy” Wayne Johnson, who is listed on the school’s official website as the primary contact for the student organization, was registered as a sex offender in April of 2010, according to Texas DPS SEX Offender registry.

According to state records, Johnson was convicted of first degree aggravated sexual assault of a child on April 28, 2003, and spent nearly three years in the Garza West Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the offense, from July 16, 2003 through April 12, 2006.

Sexual Assault of a Child is aggravated if the child is under 14 years of age, if a deadly weapon is used or a serious bodily injury is threatened, according to Texas Penal Code Sec. 22.021.

Those records include multiple photos of Johnson, which match photos on his Facebook and Twitter accounts, and describe him as a 211 pound white male with “BLOND STRAWBERRY” hair who attends UTPA. The arrest report also lists a number of aliases and indicates he was required to register annually.

A Texas conservative blog, Texas Conservative Republican news, has also identified Johnson as a sex offender.

Local publication, ValleyCentral.com, also reported in 2010, that Johnson’s offense was “indecency with a [sic] an 8-year-old child.” Johnson came to Valley Central’s attention for volunteering at The Horizon Montessori Charter School in McAllen.

Johnson also identifies himself as the Young Democrat's chapter president on his Twitter profile, @CrimsonBilly, and appears at chapter events in Facebook photos.

It may be that Johnson is no longer required to register annually, as the report indicates there was a change of status in June, 2013

On September 13, Jenn Brown, the executive director of Battleground Texas, an organization that attempts to register Democratic voters in the state, Tweeted at Johnson to thank him for his work at the organization.

“He’s the great president of the @YoungDemsATUTPA,” Brown continued in another Tweet.

A photo was originally attached to the Tweet, but has since been removed. It can still be found, however, on the UT Confessions Facebook page.

White House: 'Doesn't Really Matter' When Shutdown Ends 'We Are Winning'

Breitbart
by John Nolte
4 Oct 2013

In a stunning admission to the Wall Street Journal, a senior administration admitted that while veterans wait for services and children wait for cancer treatments, the White House doesn't care how long the shutdown lasts because "We are winning."

Said a senior administration official: "We are winning...It doesn't really matter to us" how long the shutdown lasts "because what matters is the end result."

Now we know why Obama is threatening to veto individual pieces of funding Republicans have offered to get those veterans their services and those children their cancer treatments through the National Institute of Health. Why budge when all you care about is winning and you believe that you are?

It is highly likely that by "winning" this senior administration official is talking about in the media.

Monday, Time's Mark Halperin informed the world that the White House feels no need to negotiate because they know the media have their back in this fight. And thus far, everything we are seeing in the biased media coverage and the Democrats refusal to budge, even for sick children, backs this up.

This quote from this official is in itself a perfect example of media bias. Thus far this stunning admission has gotten zero media traction. This is not news the media want out there.

There is a lot of blame for this shutdown to go around, no question. But the media and their bias Obama is counting on shoulder as much of the blame as anything.

Congress Gives Standing Ovation to DC Cops For Executing Unarmed Mother

Police acted “heroically” in gunning down frightened woman with baby

A video shows members of Congress giving a standing ovation to Capitol police for executing an unarmed mother with a baby who was brutally gunned down after driving erratically at a checkpoint near the White House.

The clip features House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer of Maryland expressing gratitude to the police. His words are followed by over a minute of applause from Representatives. Rep. Eric Cantor then remarks that lawmakers “really appreciate” the DC cops for their actions.

Essentially, lawmakers were expressing gratitude for the cops protecting them from the deadly threat posed by 34-year-old Connecticut resident Miriam Carey, a dental hygienist who the media is now trying to demonize as mentally unstable yet whose boss Dr. Brian Evans said was a “happy” and “stable” individual. Friends described her as “friendly and dedicated.” Her former boss Dr Steven Oken said she was “always happy,” while neighbors said Carey was “a nice young lady, stable.”

As the mainstream media portrayed the incident as some kind of dramatic gun battle and car chase involving a deadly terrorist who had attempted to attack the White House, the truth began to emerge. Carey’s worst crime appears to have been driving erratically and freaking out at a checkpoint when police aimed guns at her head.

Contrary to initial media reports that Carey had somehow tried to breach sensitive White House property, the checkpoint was a temporary “outer perimeter” fence, making it quite possible that Carey was confused and frightened as to why she was being stopped in the first place. The temporary checkpoint may have been part of a drill that was running simultaneously.

Perhaps cognizant of the fact that cops routinely shoot unarmed innocent people for no reason whatsoever, Carey panicked and tried to escape.

After a brief chase, Capitol police and Secret Service agents unloaded at least 15 rounds into Carey’s vehicle despite the fact that her 18-month-old child was sitting in the back seat. CNN praised the cops for showing such patience by waiting for 12 seconds before they executed a defenseless Carey. D.C. Police Chief Cathy L. Lanier said the police acted “heroically” in slaughtering the unarmed woman.

“Why was lethal force authorized to begin with?” asks Reno Berkeley. “All they had to do was use tire spikes, or shoot out her tires. Instead, according to a New York Daily News article, she drove through a hail of bullets, and then crashed into a cruiser, and was then again surrounded and bombarded with another rain of bullets. No gun was found in Carey’s car. No motive so far is evident. The 34-year-old mother could have been having a bad day and made the wrong decision that led to her death. So, why are police so intent on painting her as a woman with mental health issues if everyone that knew her seems to say the exact opposite?”

Another video also shows that the police car crash which resulted in the injury of an officer was entirely self-inflicted – the cop crashed into one of the same barricades that Carey was executed for breaching. A Secret Service agent received minor injuries as a result of Carey’s erratic driving.

The sickening reaction to the tragic death of Miriam Carey again reminds us that the establishment loves to celebrate and justify the slaughter of Americans who apparently deserve to be executed instantly for daring to disobey the orders of anyone in a uniform.

Dry September in Wise County

It was a dry September in wise County with slightly less than 2 inches of rain recorded in Decatur. That’s below the average of 3.37 inches for this time of year. The total for the year is 23.48 inches. As an example of the famous, wide-ranging Texas temperatures, the low in September was 48 on Sept. 30 compared to a high of 105 on Sept. 2. Like they say, if you don't like the weather in Texas, wait awhile because it's sure to change.

Austin, Texas Policeman Shoots at Innocent Man During Traffic Stop; Gets Fired

A five-year veteran of the Austin Police Department was wrong to shoot at a man who got out of his car during a traffic stop earlier this year, Chief Art Acevedo said Friday while explaining his decision to fire Officer Justin Boehm.

Boehm was driving behind James Barton when the Austin resident ran a red light at the intersection of East 12th Street and Airport Boulevard around 7:50 a.m. on May 8.

Boehm promptly pulled him over, and several seconds later, Barton got out of his truck.

Footage from the dashboard camera in Boehm's patrol car shows Barton walking toward Boehm and pulling a dark object from his pocket — his wallet — after the officer twice told him to "stay in the car." Boehm then shoots at Barton, missing, and starts yelling for him to stay in the car.

After jumping at the gunshot, Barton drops his wallet and gets into his truck. He was unarmed.

Pointing his gun at Barton, Boehm next orders him to get back out of the truck and lie facedown on the ground, where he remains until sirens wail and more officers arrive, handcuffing the 55-year-old and taking him away.

Barton, who is suing Boehm and the city of Austin in federal court, said he thinks Acevedo was smart to fire the officer.

"Austin is probably safer," he said. "The man almost killed me for what?"

Speaking to reporters last month, Barton said he got out of his car because he was taught to do so in driver's ed, to show the officer he wasn't dangerous. During an interview with detectives from the Police Department's special investigations unit after the shooting, he said he thought he was being pulled over for using his cellphone while driving.

"Is that officer off the street right now?" he then asked them. "'Cause he definitely has some issues."

Boehm's chain of command unanimously decided that the officer's use of deadly force against Barton was unreasonable, Acevedo said Friday, hours after Boehm's disciplinary hearing. What was "really disturbing," he said, was how Boehm acted even after he saw Barton had dropped a wallet, not a firearm.

The officer's conduct was not consistent with what the department expects, the chief said. "This is a profession where you don't get a bad day when it relates to deadly force."

Boehm will not face criminal charges.

Sgt. Wayne Vincent, president of the Austin Police Association, said he agrees the shooting was a mistake but that he thinks firing Boehm was not the appropriate response.

"We believe this officer could have been re-trained, rehabilitated and we should have kept him," he said.

Boehm could appeal Acevedo's decision but Vincent said he's still weighing his options.

Both Police Monitor Margo Frasier and the city's citizen review panel recommended that Acevedo fire Boehm. In a memo to the chief, Frasier said Boehm's account of what happened doesn't correspond to what was captured on video, saying he has either made up a story to defend his use of force or that his statements to investigators actually reflect what he thinks happened.

"Officer Boehm does not possess the mental ability to successfully and effectively assess situations or circumstances and draw sound conclusions as required to safely carry out his duties," she said.

According to the city's civil service office, Acevedo last fired an officer involved in a shooting about a year ago. Christopher Allen lost his job in October 2012 after the officer ran after a car fleeing down a South Austin street while shooting at it. Allen's firing came a month after a Travis County grand jury declined to indict him on criminal charges.

Similarly, Acevedo's decision to fire Boehm came a week after a the district attorney announced that a grand jury had declined to indict him.

"Our department holds officers to standards that are higher than the law requires of them," Acevedo said. "This is a burden that we all take because it's a responsibility that we have to the community to ensure that when we use deadly force, it's done so consistent with our training, consistent with our policies."

DHS Advisor Mohamed Elibiary Uses the R4BIA Muslim Brotherhood Salute

Mohamed Elibiary, Homeland Security Advisory Panel
The R4BIA four finger salute has deep meaning in the Muslim Brotherhood. And it is making its way into the Department of Homeland Security. Mohamed Elibiary, one of the most controversial members of the Homeland Security Advisory Panel, just plastered the symbol on his public Twitter profile. This is serious, and deeply disturbing. The symbol has deep meaning in the Muslim Brotherhood, and greater Islam. It is the symbol of Islamic world domination. And the crushing of western democracy. The Islamic infiltration of all levels of American government is coming to fruition.

Mohamed Elibiary, one of the 28 members of the Homeland Security Advisory Panel, is using the blatantly militant Islamic R4BIA symbol on his Twitter profile. Is this a public declaration? To display this symbol on a highly visible social media profile is daring and risky. It is boldly proclaming to Mohamed-Elibiary-Twitter-1the world where you stand, where your allegiance lies. Elibiary is making the outrageous and audacious statement that he is aligned with the Muslim Brotherhood, jihad, and yet also is employed by the DHS.

The Muslim infiltration continues as Americans sit on their hands worrying about same-sex marriage and women's rights. We’ve been overtaken from the inside out. And this is proof. Elibiary doesn’t have to hide his affiliation. And the R4BIA symbol is more than just a “solidarity” statement with the Muslim Brotherhood. It is the symbol for the complete Islamic takeover of the world.
